Well Charles Garrett recomends 100 hours on any detector to learn it=excellent advice=I usually do something like this anyway, on the Scorpion It worked out FINE, one excellent detector, can be used for anything that I have thrown at it and does very good, will hit on nuggets 1/2 the size of a BB at 3 in, I am satisfied with that, is excellent on coin, good on relics, great battery life, light= what else could you want=OH  yeah, can't use it to dive on sunken ships or underwater, but will handle most other things very well, I reccomend this unit for bout anyone, and I am right Picky, that's what this GEEZER thinks
