Western Mining Alliance May 2013 Newsletter

Attached is the May Newsletter.  We did the best we could on reducing the size, we apologize if you have a slow connection.

The issue you need to pay attention to this month is the 2 million acres of land scheduled for withdrawal for critical habitat for the Mountain Yellow Legged Frog and the Yosemite Toad.  Some of this land is in the heart of gold country.  We provide the full story and what you can do in the newsletter.

Respectfully,

The Western Mining Alliance
Molon Labe

Midwest Coinshooters Newsletter April 2013

Treasure Club News

Attached is the latest club newsletter. Note that next week's meeting theme is "Hobbies and collections". If you have a neat hobby (other than detecting) or a collection (remember, a collection is having more than three of a certain type of thing), we would like you to tell us about it and show off your collections. Also the Spring Hunt is Sunday the 19th at Carondolet Park starting about 8:00 AM or whenever you get there-more details in the newsletter. The O'Fallon parks metal detecting policy is discussed in the newsletter and we will be at the city council workshop today to help develop a policy. Check out the latest article about the ordinance that was passed at the April 11th council meeting and remember that at the meeting on the 25th the ordinance was repealed and it was suggested that it be replaced with a city policy instead of being an ordinance. Here is the link to the article: http://www.newsmagazinenetwork.com/2013042534134/treasure-hunters-get-a-slight-reprieve-from-ofallon-metal-detector-laws/
