Well we again for the 12th year enjoyed our annual visit to the Texas Lions Camp for Handicap Children and we saw a little over 100 kids and some 40 counselors to again teach them about how to find treasures with a metal detector. Since we donated 12 metal detectors to the camp and keep a good supply of foreign coins coming in for the counselors to hide so the kids can find them with a metal detector, this program has been a huge success and the Camp looks forward to our visit each year.

This as last year was a benefit hunt to raise funds to build the Tatum, Texas new Children Learning Center. Last year the hunt raised enough to payoff the land for the site and to take care of the legal fees. This years funds we hope will kick-off the fundraising for building the new Center. Next years same event will again go towards that goal until the Center is built and the many East Texas Children have a place for the summer programs they so want and need to keep them off the streets and learning.

This was the 2nd Annual Open Trammel Trace Treasure Hunt. It will be back next year.
